Organized through grace, organized for life.
Organized through grace, organized for life.
Did you notice the Ichthys?
That’s the Jesus fish symbol in my logo. It’s within the ‘g’ of design. (Is Heather Clark brilliant or what?) While my business isn’t related to Christianity directly, I wanted my company logo to remind who brought me to where I am today.
I’m about to get way to personal for the internet but you have to know the whole story.
You know that “perfect little family” photo you see on my About page? Six years ago I would have NEVER believed that was me if you showed me that exact photo of my future. Because six years ago, I was married to someone else, and things were going down a very bad road.
As it turns out, I married someone I didn’t know very well, at a very young age, without any clue what a strong marriage looked like. It ended quickly. I was left feeling broken and scared. Most of my friends weren’t even married yet and I was already going to be divorced.
There were so many dark nights that the only thing I could think of to do was fall on my knees and pray. Would I ever be married again? Would I ever be a mom? Would I ever be happy?
I was saved from a dark place.
Grace was given to me. I see that now more than ever. Not because I deserved it or even asked for it. It was just given to me.
Not to make this sound like a bad college application essay but the google machine defines grace as
the free and unmerited favor of God
You too, already have that same grace.
I am organized though grace. I accept that grace when the dishes aren’t done. Or when I skip ironing because SLEEP.
When you accept that grace, you can check the box that says “get organized”. Redefine what living and being organized means. I want you to live every day in the grace of imperfection. We will never check ALL the boxes but let’s check off the most important ones so that we can get back to living and pouring into what really matters most in life.
So when your to-do list seems overwhelming and your boss doesn’t seem to have any patience left or your kids can’t put their shoes away even if they were being threatened by a dinosaur – just remember to have grace with them, and yourself (and if any leftover, your boss too).

Beautiful post. Love “grace” too. Favorite Bob Goff Quote: “Grace let’s us live out of proportion to who we are.”
Love Bob Goff, what an awesome quote!
