ROAR Organized Design Process
Our ROAR Organized Design Process has taken SIX YEARS to create. We have changed the acronym half a dozen times. Practiced the method with each one of clients. NOW we are ready to share our HIGH IMPACT Organized Design Process so you can understand how we do what we do! (And we do it well, if we say so ourselves š
So what does High Impact Organization even mean?? We may only have one or two days to completely transform your space so we want to make the most of it. First we help you decide the right size team for your project. You may benefit from one-on-one assistance or you might be ready to tackle several projects and a team of four is the WOman power you need!
Most of our clients have an inclination for organization but never seem to be able to finish an organizing project. Or they believe it’s finished and yet a couple weeks later the thread unravels again. High Impact Organization is THOROUGH. You can’t do this half way. We all know what happens when you half study for a test, you make a C or maybe a B minus! Organizing projects are the same! We want each project to last for months and years. Tweaking will be needed as your needs change and as life chapters happen.
Our goal is to equip you with an organized space that suits your lifestyle and habit tendencies. Where do you get changed? That’s where your hamper should live. Wear your workout shoes everyday? Bottom shelf and maybe even closet to the door you leave from. Bake every weekend? Clear containers to analyze ingredients needed. These are just a sampling of all the questions and options we help you analyze to curate the PERFECT organized space!
So what do we mean when we ROAR??!!
R – Remove all items from the area! That’s right, we empty the pantry/closet/garage/office/playroom to the barest stage. Every last dust bunny is removed. Nothing is left unturned! This gives us a clean slate in the space set up as well.
O – Organize every item into a category. That means food groups for the pantry, hobbies and tools for the garage and even Barbies and Legos for the playroom. We want to see each sorted group. How will we know how much room is needed for office supplies until we see how much there really is? This adds into the Professional Organizer philosophy that “like should be stored with like” – your dresses should live together, your snacks should live together and your daughters’ American Girl accessories should also live together!
A – Analyze each category! How can you know which black dress you love the most until all your black dresses are in front of you? Analyzing can be tough. There are hard decisions to be made about keepsakes, clothes, toys, kitchen gadgets and then some. This is where purging down to the items we use and love on the most. Does it serve a purpose? Like my sneakers. Does it serve positive impact on your life? My preserved wedding dress. I’m keeping both! We want to help you walk through this analyzation process! Some call us “expert question posers”. It’s helpful to have an unbiased third party to help you make these decisions. We got your back. š
R – Return all kept items to their labeled HOME. That’s correct, everything you are keeping will earn a rightful place in your space. Every pair of shoes, every memorabilia box, every file will have a “home” where it will live when not in use. And honey, it WILL be labeled! We do everything from hand-lettered labels to Circut labels to label maker tape labels. It is impossible to over label! Trust us, you think you will remember what that bin in the attic is holding but why use up more brain cells when we can just label and you’ll NEVER forget!
